It's been a long time since I played Sims, and longer since I've written about them. I can't recall what I was planning to say about these pictures, but here we go again...

Velvet got a bad result from her wish, and Jochen got a "good" one that nearly gave him a concussion.

They cheered up fast though.

Woody came over to play basketball. He doesn't have to talk, so it's a good way for him to spend time with the mom he only recently met.

Zora adopted Noodle.

Who quickly took over the place.

A Family Sim pregnant from her honeymoon, what are the odds.

Velvet didn't actually get to skip most of the pregnancy, but nothing really happened while she made the baby.

Here he is: Zvi Hickman! (Any accusations of finagling things to only get one baby instead of twins are entirely fair but I'm going to pretend they're not.)

Zora loves her grandson, even if she thinks the way he was created was rather odd.

Meliora has bills to pay and needs a kitchen counter, so it's time to get to work. (The vehicles on this lot park by the big rock, then disappear when it's time for them to go. I'm going to need to get some appropriate terrain in there once Meliora's got the money.)

Tumblr:

Bans sex education blogs and independent sex worker blogs, and decides anything tagged nsfw is too much for our poor little lady brains. Also blocks a bunch of cats, food, landscapes, safe for all Sims pictures, and who knows what else. Lets porn bots and Nazis stay.

Ultra-blueifies the blue hellsite and shrugs off hundreds of users telling them the new color gives them a headache, claiming that this is accessibility.

Allows harassers and suicide-baiters to skip happily through their site with no checks at all.

Shadowbans the account of a popular blogger (penig) who never hurt anyone, and has been a huge asset to the Sims community for many years.

So, if you're a Nazi, someone exploiting sex workers and also showing no respect for other users' boundaries, or someone who likes to tell people to kill themselves, Tumblr's on your side. That's the user base they want. Anyone else is not welcome.

Feeling salty

The crash was hard and fast, but I'm coming out of it a lot faster than I have in the past. I'm pretty sure it's because of this:

That's salt. And a lot of it. I didn't quite consume the entire Great Rann of Kutch, but it felt close.

It stabilized my heart rate and helped me to gradually replenish the energy reserves that were totally gone. I'm quite sure it helped with the low blood volume that plagues people with M.E.

The admonition to eat less salt is wrong for almost everyone anyway. On top of which, people with M.E. most likely need more salt than average. I'm going to be upping my salt intake generally, though not to the heights it was the past week.

Recovering faster than expected, probably because of cats. BORED. This is the most dangerous stage for me, because of boredom overcomes me and I start sitting up too soon, I will crash again. Any 3DS game recs?

I'm not feeling up to playing Sims, and I'm really not feeling up to writing Sims stories yet. But I have more pics from the past that I never posted on Tumblr because they're definitely not PG-13. Dunno what to do. I don't want to get people's hopes (or whatever) up that I'm planning on smut all the time, but I feel like posting something, but... oh I dunno.

We put up blackout curtains a couple days ago, and I've been waking up feeling far more rested than since first moving to this apartment. My schedule is still a disaster, but getting a good sleep at whatever time seems to already be helping my health. One curtain in the den so a bright light doesn't shine through here at night and confuse our senses, and a bigger one in the bedroom so almost no light gets in when we're trying to sleep. They, and the apartment-friendly curtain rods, were actually pretty cheap. They're not fancy and a little bit of light does still get in, but if we wanted no light at all ever we'd have taped aluminum foil over the windows like a guy I once dated did. (He had to work nights.) I consider them a necessity in today's "shine the brightest lights you can everywhere 24/7" hellscape.

This video totally meshes with my sense of humor. All it needs is wordplay based on some obscure historical/scientific/artistic thing and it'd be perfect. And I feel a lot more comfortable expressing myself on Dreamwidth than I did on Tumblr. I'm never exactly "normal" (wtfever) anywhere, but I tried on Tumblr, even though it was mostly subconscious.

Progression on Annie's farm so far

I was able to clear all the obstacles in the Progressive Access Farm by late summer of the 1st year. I'm hoping more people will be inspired by this map to create even more challenging maps for the game!
