It's absolutely fine and not weird! I comment with just "<3" on people's posts often, if I find myself short of other things to say.

And then sometimes I open the comment form and put in a heart, and I find that once I have it already open, I think of other things I want to say. So deciding that it's fine to just comment with a heart has made it easier to leave wordy comments instead of keeping on scrolling.
